Powerman was an African superhero designed by Dave Gibbons which he designed and both he and Bolland drew in the mid 70's. The comics were later re-published in the US by ACME Press.

Brian drew this try out page for the series which may not have been published at the time as he still had it. As depicted in the page, Powerman's only weakness lies in snakebites. Bit of an occupational hazard in Africa one might suggest.

All the original pages are believed lost after being sent to the publisher. This page will likely see publication in a new upcoming collection
